life, love & laundry
{this picture makes me so happy – it almost made the christmas card :)}
That’s how close I am to FINALLY having a camera. So close I can taste it! I hope it happens very very soon. I’m sure you do, too, so I will stop talking about it.
Meanwhile I have been trying to learn as much as I can about lighting (a LOT to go there) and composition and I’ve been reading tons of boards and I’ve taken a few webinars and have several more scheduled. I joke that I’m the most learnt photographer without a camera you will ever meet :)
I have also totally fallen head over heals in love with Lightroom. When my trial runs out (9 days! Sniff!) I’m going to download Lightroom 3 beta to give it a test run. I honestly don’t know how I ever functioned without it. Although I’ve tried it a few times before, the newer versions have some organizational options that blow away previous versions. I can’t wait to see what LR3 has in store!
On a totally random and opposite note, I had to blog for posterity that Addy has two new words in her vocab and a new drawing technique that I think is really cool.
Her new words: exasperated & mysterious – she makes me laugh with her big grown-up words.
Her new drawing technique: drawing in 3-D. One day she wanted to draw a girl with a pony-tail and she just could not figure out how to make that happen. Finally she just flipped over the paper and drew the pony-tail on the back, like it’s coming out of her head. Cool, right? Now she does it all the time – all her pictures are in 3-D. It’s always hilarious to see what is going on on the backside of her creations :P
Oh, I love this one too. You know I am whining with you as I am doing the point and click now : (
About Annslee’s ear…yeah it was infected so they took out the cyst, and the tracts?? and closed the hole..hopefully no further problems with that :)

I love that pic so much! I hope you get a camera again soon too – you NEED to be taking pictures regularly – I’ve missed them! Addy just cracks me up with those words and that drawing!
(sorry, still owe you an email – I’m behind, always behind)

If this shot is not The One, I am anxious to see what will be! This one is simply gorgeous. The color of the grass in the background and the genuine smiles are just awesome. I will keep everything crossed that you get a camera soon, too.

I am so impressed with the 3D drawing concept. Pony tail on the back of the paper — that cracks me up! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a kid do that before. The gears in her head are sure working overtime, aren’t they?
