Mr (Almost) Reliable
That’s Teegan – always willing to help out, wake up early to let me take pictures, whatever I need he’s there. Almost. He has these peculiarities – idiosyncrasies if you will.
Like, for instance, he always ALWAYS shows up for special occasions or photo sessions wearing clothes with holes. BIG holes. Holes that should not exist becuase the clothes should have long since hit the trash. I swear he hides them only to secretly pull out for special occasions. Last year the kids took pictures in their socks and his wore socks with HUGE holes. Sigh.
So the day before we took holiday photos, Teegan went out with me to scope out locations and check the light. While I would NEVER be ok with letting my kids wear GAMER t-shirts in a holiday photo, I have to admit that the gaping HOLE in the knee of his jeans that he showed up wearing for the Real Thing made me want to throttle him. He spent the whole morning trying to strategically place his hole so it would be least visible. Awesome. And then? He did not even remember to CHANGE his clothes between morning and evening pictures so he had to do it all over again later on.
At least he’s a good sport. Even if he makes me cry with his holey clothes.
All of that said, I was really REALLY hoping for some great outtake photos this year. I LIVE for the photo outtakes. Every year I SWEAR I am going to use the outtakes for my actual card and this year I was COMMITTED. Woudln’t you know it, I did not get ONE SINGLE GOOD outtake? Don’t get me wrong – that does not mean all my pictures were awesome. It means that most of them were out of focus or at a bad angle or really bad light and basically terrible. I do have a few *almost* usable outtake photos and I have some sweet photos that were somewhere between funny and posed. But I have to say – I’m disappointed. This was the year I was totally going to make people laugh with my cards and…..FAIL!
I’m blaming Teegan. If it wasn’t for his preoccupation with his bare naked knee, he would have made us all laugh like he always does. No pressure or anything.

Holes or not, Teegan is insanely photogenic…I’m guessing you know that. He’s gorgeous!
