life, love & laundry
{this picture is so crazy. the sun is so insane that even with the hood, it was impossible to prevent flare.}
Not loving today.
I had a dentist appointment.It took me six months to both save the money and build up the nerve to make the appointment. As expected, this one appointment will turn into two. The work is really simple – just fillings. But OMG and OUCH. Nothing ever goes as expected for me. The Lidocaine did not really numb my teeth well enough and so my dentist did a nerve block and it caused my jaw to feel really tight and sore. Weird since it was completely numb. It is still tight and sore and also now that the block has worn off I realize the side of my tongue is also cut up and it HURTS LIKE HELL. Ouch. Plus my gums are really sore. Ouch again. Seriously – fillings! Not major dental work here. What the heck! Thursday I get to repeat this experience on the other side of my face. I think the cavities are bigger on Thursday so I’m sure it won’t be fun afterward. On the upside, at least I didn’t a) cry b) pass out c) throw up . I even made the appointment all by myself, drove myself there and home and everything! I’m getting to be so big :)
Let’s see…what other fun things happened today? Oh the I*R*S sent us a letter. That was about as predictable as anything I could imagine. I won’t go into the whole sordid affair. I knew the letter was coming. Nothing is EVER as easy as it seems.
There is drama with a new job my husband has that seems like it may just play out to be the worst possible combination of results for me. I’m so glad he’s so happy though. That’s all that matters. Whatever.
And that pretty much sums up my Monday. Can we have a do-over? Maybe spread the cheer and good fortune over a few days when my pain threshold is higher?
Have you looked into ozone treatments? Non invasive and can help kill the bacteria on the teeth so if possible re-mineralization can start? (I’m from the Queens group BTW). you can google it to learn more or find a practitioner in your area. Maybe for any future work. Good luck!

Oh you poor thing. The dental yuck really should have been enough, even for a Monday. To throw the IRS and new job stress on top of that seems totally unnecessary. Definitely sounds like the perfect day for a do-over.

oh, Nicki you know I am here..

Yep, I vote for starting the week over too. Or just banishing this day from history, that’d work too. Guess the silver lining for me is I wasn’t at the dentist today, so thanks for that. Ugh, ugh, ugh.

DANG IT!! I hope your week is better ASAP!
