life, love & laundry
It’s another week of 365!
67/365: I love these guys. They’ve been sitting on my ironing board for months waiting for repair. Their hair came detached! So sad! Nothing a little hot glue can’t fix. After searching high and low for my glue gun, though, I couldn’t find it anywhere. Turns out my 15 year old son stole borrowed it. Sneak! At least I was not to blame this time!
68/365: I almost missed a day! Thank goodness for my nightly Chocolate Thin Mint ice cream addiction. Right on top of the vodka. :P
69/365: My favorite flowers in the world, in green, courtesy my hubby. He hasn’t brought flowers in a loong time.
70/365: Noah begged to swim today even though it was only in the low 70′s and the pool water was 68!! Brrr. Once Noah got in, Addy and Teegan were soon to follow.
71/365: Date with my hubby today. We got deli sandwiches and shared them at the park. Very relaxing. Then we went to a shelter to see if they had my cat. Still no cat :( But I found one that looked and acted just like her that I am going to rescue if she doesn’t find a home by next weekend. You can never have too many cats. That’s my new motto. My family is worried.
72/365: My boys’ best bud has a birthday this week and they all went over for a big sleepover. Fun times! Now that both my bigger kids are earning their own cash, they are big spenders. Plus I do not have to be involved in the shopping at all. They get their own gifts online or somewhere within biking distance, they wrap, they deliver. I almost passed out when I found out how much money they spent but you know? I sort of think that’s the sweetest thing ever. If you are going to have money, why not spend it on those you care about most, right? Better than spending it on yourself!
73/365: today was the warmest, nicest day we’ve had since last year. It was upper 70′s, sunny and gorgeous. We bought Addy her first big girl (16″) bike. She is SO proud. Even though she woke up today with yet ANOTHER cold, she and Noah rode up and down the street over and over. She LOVES her hand brake. I’m a helmet nazi and Noah recently asked if he could ride without his helmet when he becomes a better rider. Sorry buddy. You can make that choice when you are 18, just like your brothers. Everyone has their limits. I may have caved over guns and video games but darnit, my kids will protect their heads.
Tomorrow I will share the steps to create the end-of-month collage, since I’ve had several people ask. It is so super easy! So keep an eye out for that.
Love the green!
